Sustainability Overview

Every year we publish a Sustainability Report, which includes data on our energy and water usage, greenhouse gas emissions and employee health and safety, as well as additional data and information to help our stakeholders evaluate our sustainability positioning, risk and opportunities. SPX is committed to mapping and prioritizing key risk factors and opportunities for use in developing sustainability goals, and assessing sustainability risks has become a key part of our annual Enterprise Risk Management process.

As a part of our commitment to Employee Development & Engagement, our talent management framework, called RiSE, helps SPX Reach, Identify, Strengthen, and Engage our employees. RiSE enhances our culture, leadership, talent attraction and engagement strategies, and reaches across the full spectrum of talent management programs, from recruiting strategies to community engagement activities.

At SPX, we also believe that valuing different backgrounds, experiences and opinions is the right thing to do and critical to our long-term success. In doing so, we grow and flourish together as individuals and as a business. SPX’s Diversity & Inclusion initiative focuses on building a more inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. This effort is led by our Diversity & Inclusion Council and Ambassador Network, which are comprised of both senior executives and employees from across the enterprise. Our programs are designed to create greater awareness of the principles and value of diversity and inclusion and to develop tools for a more inclusive environment that better enables us to collectively execute more effectively on our business strategies.

Governance

At SPX, from the Board of Directors to the plant floor we manage our business with a central focus on our core values of Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Excellence and Results. We believe in doing what is right, the right way, taking ownership of our actions, exceeding expectations, driving constant improvement, making each other successful and delivering on our commitments. These values are the basis for our Corporate Governance Guidelines, adopted by our Board of Directors, and our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, which serves as a guide to our employees when making decisions or taking actions with customers and colleagues.

At SPX, we see sustainability as a journey of continuous improvement. We recognize that the expectations of our constituencies are evolving and we endeavor to meet those expectations with ongoing updates and enhancements to our initiatives and our disclosures.
