CHARLOTTE, N.C.,\u00a0Aug. 07, 2018\u00a0(GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —\u00a0SPX Corporation\u00a0(NYSE:SPXC) today announced the expansion of its global executive leadership team, with the addition of\u00a0Ankush Kumar, who has joined the company as President, HVAC Cooling. In addition,\u00a0Randy Powell, a current executive, will lead SPX\u2019s Process Cooling business.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The addition of Mr. Kumar and the expertise of Mr. Powell strengthen the dedicated leadership and global growth and management capabilities\u00a0of the company. These additional resources and enhanced strategic focus support SPX\u2019s initiatives of increasing its global presence in HVAC Cooling and growing sales of parts, components and services in Process Cooling.<\/p>\n

Mr. Kumar brings an extensive background in strategy development, global operations, M&A, channel management, and strategic pricing. He joins\u00a0SPX Corporation\u00a0from\u00a0Gardner Denver Holdings, Inc., a global industrial manufacturer, where he led the fluid transfer equipment and compressor systems business. Prior to\u00a0Gardner Denver, he spent 13 years at\u00a0McKinsey\u00a0& Company\u2019s Global Energy Equipment and Services practice, where his focus was growth through strategy deployment, business development and commercial performance transformation. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the\u00a0University of Delaware, and a Bachelor’s degree from the\u00a0Indian Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n
